The Tulsa Golden Hurricane move into third place in the Conference USA standings with their 45-42 win Wednesday night against UTEP.

TU took the led midway through the first quarter and held off the Minors to improve to 11-7 and 3-1 in league play.

The Golden Hurricane were paced by Kauri Black with 11 points, James Woodard added 10.

Both teams had a hard time being secure with the ball. Tulsa turned it over 16 times while UTEP had 12 turnovers.

The Minors were led by John Bohannon with 11 points.

The Golden Hurricane play at Tulane Saturday at 1:00pm.
