Everybody turns gray at some point, but some of us, turn gray prematurely.
According to Web MD, typically, white people begin to gray in the mid 30's, Asians in their late 30's, and African Americans not until their mid 40's.
And, although a common thought is that men go gray from stress, experts say stress has nothing to do with it. The main reason some men go gray prematurely is our genes. If mom or dad turned gray early, you might too. In rare cases, gray hair can be the result of a medical condition.
But, perhaps, most interesting, gray hair is not actually gray. It's transparent. It only looks gray against darker hair.
