Group of Physicians & Baptist Health Announce New Organiation

Posted: Updated:

Baptist Health and a group of leading doctors made a big announcement Tuesday.

They have formed a new organization called Baptist Health Physician Partners.

It was designed by a group of doctors from multiple specialties, who formed their own standards of care and will work together to reduce the costs for patients.

General surgeon, Dr. Chris Cate says, "We're currently in the process of recruiting physicians into the practice. We currently have over 250 physicians signed up."

The physicians have been working for eighteen months to design this new organization, which will be physician driven and hospital supported. They say it's the first of its kind in the area.
