Graduation Day at Kiwanis Camp

Posted: Updated:

Sunday was a day of accomplishment for thirty kids taking part in the Joseph Pfeiver Kiwanis Camp.

It was graduation day for the fourth and fifth graders who got a little extra help outside the classroom.

For 30 days the students took part in programs aimed at boosting self esteem, behavior reform and academic performance.

Sanford Tollette, the camps' executive director, said it is important they remain in the kids' lives and help in any way they can.

"We have always had the philosophy we're not perfect, but we try to be for the kids," Tollette explained.

U.S. Senator Mark Pryor was the key speaker for the service.
