Green Forest 2-year-old killed in crash

GREEN FOREST (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a 2-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Carroll County.

State police say the crash happened Wednesday morning on Arkansas 311 north of Green Forest. According to a preliminary report, 23-year-old Wendie Pearson of Green Forest failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the road. State police say she overcorrected and crashed into a tree.

Killed in the crash was 2-year-old Emily Pearson of Green Forest. Wendie Pearson was injured and taken to a hospital in Branson, Mo.

State police say a 1-year-old boy in the SUV was not injured.
