Tulsa Police Investigating East Tulsa Homicide

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police are trying to solve the murder of a man in East Tulsa.

It happened Monday at an apartment complex near 4300 S Garnett just before 10 p.m.

Officers say a man in his 50s was at the complex to help his sister who was ill.

The man was shot in the back several times.  Paramedics tried to save him, but he died a short time later.

Police do not have a motive or a suspect.  Several people heard shots, but no one saw what happened.

This is the seventh homicide of the year, just a week into 2013.
