Small Fire Torches Land Near Lake Sahoma

Posted: Updated:

No one is injured in a small grass fire just west of Lake Sahoma north of Sapulpa.

The blaze broke out Monday afternoon near 161st West Avenue and 91st Street south.

Sapulpa fire investigators don't know the cause, but four vacant trailer homes were destroyed in the fire.

Approximately one to two acres was blackened by the blazed.

Firefighters said while last week's rain was beneficial, it's still important to remember that ground cover and brush is still very dry and susceptible to fire.
