UPDATE: Local pastor and granddaughter killed in car crash

A 2-month-old child involved in a Tuesday night car crash was also killed in the wreck. Arkansas State Police say Robert Cecola Jr., of Joshua, Texas, did not survive the accident. Several cars were involved in the car crash that happened New Year's Day around 8:30pm. David Harris, the senior pastor at Oak Park Baptist Church in Little Rock and his granddaughter, Maci Harris, were also killed. Funeral arrangements are still pending. At least five others were injured.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – The senior pastor at Oak Park Baptist Church and his granddaughter were killed in a car crash Tuesday night.

David Harris and his family were in a car on Interstate 30 near Scott Hamilton Drive around 8:30 p.m. According to a press release from the church, the 64-year-old pastor and his granddaughter were killed. Other family members are still being treated at local hospitals.

State police are investigating the crash.

Harris served as the senior pastor of Oak Park Baptist Church, located at 8200 Flintridge Road, for more than 35 years.
