South Arkansas fire chief, constable dies

GREENHILL (Monticello Live) - David Bawcom, chief of the Greenhill Fire Department, passed away Tuesday.

The 38-year-old was also the Greenhill Fire Department, constable of Saline township and a well-known loader for a local logging company.

Bawcom was involved in a serious auto collision on December 22, but the cause of his death will reportedly be attributed to health issues that existed prior to his accident.

Stephenson-Dearman will handle the service arrangements.
