For those of you who were forced out of your home because of power outages, you may be wondering if your food is still safe to eat.

If the power is out more than two hours... for the freezer section: a full section will hold food safely for 48 hours, but keep the door closed.

For half full: it will hold food safely for 24 hours.

In the refrigerator section: pack any dairy or meat products in a cooler surrounded by ice.
