MONTICELLO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas-Monticello's Kori Forge has been named the Great American Conference player of the week after breaking the league record for most points scored in a single game.
Forge knocked in 36 points in the Boll Weevils' 79-71 win last week against Southwest Baptist.
He currently leads the Great American Conference in scoring, averaging 22.3 points per game. The league says Forge is the only player in the conference who's scored more than 200 points so far this season.
The Boll Weevils return to conference play Jan. 3 against East Central in Ada, Okla.
