Benton cheerleaders win state championship

BENTON (Saline Courier) - The Benton High School cheerleaders won the class 6A state championship on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.

Benton also came in first place in the Tiger City Classic in Arkadelphia on Dec. 8, took first in the Arkansas Cheer Coaches Association Competition in Mayflower on Dec. 1 in Mayflower, took first in the Benton Invitational on Nov. 17 ant were first-place finishers in the Bauxite Invitational on Nov. 10.

Sheridan was first-runner up in 6A at the state championship and Bryant tied Van Buren for first-runner up in the 5A-7A Coed Division.
