CONWAY (Log Cabin Democrat, AP) - Deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office are investigating
an overnight shooting that left one person dead and another injured.
Faulkner County Sheriff's Capt. Matt Rice said deputies
were dispatched around 1:30 Friday morning to a residence at 55 Buddy Lane,
off of Highway 286, in reference to a shooting.
Deputies found 39-year-old Charles G. Hooten dead and 47-year-old Debbie L. Ford wounded inside the home. Ford was taken to a Little Rock hospital where, at last check, she was listed instable condition.
Authorities would not comment on a possible motive
but said a suspect also found at the home is currently in custody. That
person's name has not been released.
