Conway police are cracking
down on underage drinking.
Officers sent a 19-year-old
into 12 restaurants with an unaltered ID to order alcohol. Nine restaurants did not
let her order: Saigon, American Grill, Logan's, Las Palmas, Russo's,
Ruby Tuesday, Fuji, Cactus Jacks and Gusanos.
However, servers at three
businesses, Oak Street Bistro, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Beef O'Brady's, checked
her ID but then served her anyway. Each server was issued a $250 citation.
This is the second alcohol
compliance check Conway police officers have done this week. Earlier this week
nine businesses passed while two failed.
Conway officers say they
hope these random checks will help cut down on underage drinking.
