(KATV) On December 23,
at about 8:41am, the Lonoke Sheriff's Office received a report of a theft at
the New Beginning Mission Church located on Highway 294.

Eifling and Investigator Matt Edwards went to the church. They says the initial
investigation revealed the suspects entered the church through the rear door
and stripped the copper wiring from the frame work which is under construction.
The church is in the process of adding an extension to the building.
The theft is
believed to have occurred sometime between Sunday and Wednesday morning. Cost
of wire replacement and repairs are estimated at $2,500.00.
Since January 2012, there have been more than 90 reported thefts regarding metal to include copper in the County. Since November, there have been at least 9 reports of thefts regarding metal and copper.
Anyone who
may have seen anything suspicious or have information regarding the theft, are
