Two dead after head-on collision in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY -

A head-on collision on Highway 270, west of Pine Bluff, leaves two dead Saturday.

Arkansas State Police tell Channel 7 that Marsha Lynn Reed, 55, of Malvern was heading west on Highway 270 when her SUV crossed the center line, striking another SUV heading east.

The other vehicle was being driven by 59-year-old Edward Ingram Beets of Columbia, Miss.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred just before 1 pm.
