Humane Society Hosts "Collars For Christmas"

Posted: Updated:

The animals at the Humane Society need your help this season.

The shelter is hosting a program called "Collars For Christmas."

You can pick up a bag at fill it with collars, toys, leashes or any other supplies for cats and dogs.

Organizers say they use the donations throughout the year.

"Everybody needs a toy," says Dan Canfield, the adoption manager.  "This program helps us tremendously."

You can stop by anytime, either to adopt or just look.

Canfield says the pets like having company.

The humane society is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The shelter is located at 6232 E. 60th Street.
