No New Fees For Customers of Nation's Second Largest Bank

Posted: Updated:

Bank of America customers are apparently not going to be hit with new fees, at least not yet. The second largest U.S. bank has shelved plans for new checking account fees that *could* have affected some 10 million customers. The Wall Street Journal reports the decision to put off new fees at least until late next year comes amid a review of the bank's business.

Many other big banks, such as JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo have also come up with plans to raise fee revenue or push customers to do more business with them as low interest rates, slow economic growth and tough new rules are limiting bank profits.
