LITTLE ROCK -
Organizers say less than 500 spots are open for the marathon. Registration is up 35 percent compared to last year.
The half marathon has less
than 1,700 registrations available and is expected to be sold out by the middle
of December.
In 2008, a registration
cap was created for safety reasons. Race officials are getting ready for 13,000
participants and 30,000 spectators this year.
The 11th running of the Little
Rock Marathon and other races such as the 5K and 10K will be March 2 and 3. Money raised goes to
Little Rock Parks & Recreation.
Registration is available
online until midnight on February 22 or until the registration cap has been
hit. To sign up for any of the races, click here.
