
JONESBORO (AP) - Arkansas State swept this week's Sun Belt Conference football awards after the Red Wolves took the league title in a 45-0 win over Middle Tennessee.
Quarterback Ryan Aplin claimed his third straight offensive player of the week award, while linebacker Nathan Herrold was named defensive player of the week.
Kicker Brian Davis was named special teams player of the week.
Aplin completed 19 of 21 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns in Arkansas State's win over Middle Tennessee. Aplin also added 64 yards and one touchdown rushing.
Herrold recorded 10 tackles and an interception in Saturday's game, while Davis chipped in 10 points kicking.
The Red Wolves are headed to the GoDaddy.com bowl, where they'll face No. 25 Kent State.
