FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Bentonville and Fayetteville will once again make themselves at home in Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
The two Class 7A powerhouses will meet for the third straight year in the state championship game, ensuring the West will take home the title in the state's largest classification for the eighth straight year.
The game will cap a weekend of championships, following Friday's Class 5A matchup between Batesville and Camden Fairview and Saturday's early game between Class 6A's Greenwood and Pine Bluff.
The Tigers (12-0) were ranked No. 1 in the weekly Associated Press high school football poll for most of the season, supplanting the defending champion Bulldogs (9-3) after their season-opening loss. Fayetteville won in overtime last season after a regular season loss to Bentonville.
This season has a similar feel.
