Man arrested for August hit-and-run death in Lonoke County

LONOKE (KATV) - State Police have arrested a suspect in the August hit-and-run death of a 39-year-old woman.

Bill Sadler with Arkansas State Police (ASP) confirms 50-year-old Robert Lee Glover of Carlisle was charged with a Class D felony November 13. Lt. Jim Kulesa with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office tells Channel 7 News that Glover has since bonded out of jail.

Police say 39-year old Kimberly Perkins was trying to flag-down help Friday, August 27 after the vehicle in which she was a passenger ran out of gas. She was hit by an SUV near Lonoke on U.S. Highway 70 near Cypress Creek Road.

Police say Bernard Sherrod, 20, was found shot outside of his apartment complex on Bryant street.
