Tulsa Police Discover Man Shot in Head in South Tulsa During Traffic Stop

During a traffic stop early Wednesday morning, Tulsa police discovered a man with a gun shot wound in the head.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. when an officer pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation in 1100 block of E. 61st in south Tulsa. That's when the police officer saw the man he pulled over had been shot in the head.

TPD told KTUL.com that the driver had been shot at the St. Thomas Square apartment complex, just west of Peoria. EMSA arrived at the scene and provided care for the man who was conscious and talking to officers.

Police are currently investigating where the gun shot came from as there was damage to the driver side door and the roof of the car.
