Ark. auditor sets unclaimed property auction

Posted:

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - The Arkansas auditor's office has scheduled its monthly online auction of unclaimed property.

The auction on eBay is to start at 10 a.m. Friday and will be open for seven days, and bidding is open to anyone except auditor's office employees.

The office says that goods placed up for auction as unclaimed property come from banks and other financial institutions and all items have been abandoned for at least eight years before they are sold.

Items in this month's auction include assorted coins and a silver fork set

Bidders have to be registered eBay users to participate.
