T-Town Rundown: What's Happening Around the Tulsa Area Today

Posted: Updated:

Here's a list of things happening in the Tulsa area on Tuesday.

As always, follow KTUL.com for full-length coverage on larger stories occurring in the area, state and nation. The following events are just some of those happening Thursday with updates posted throughout the morning as we send out crews and reporters to stories we're working on for our evening newscasts.

Oklahoma Blood Institute: The organization is looking for people to help boost its community blood supplies for the holiday with a blood drive at the Bank of Oklahoma on Brookside. Channel 8's Keith Taylor also will be aboard the bloodmobile during the drive from 8 to 11 a.m.

Downtown: If you're looking to get your shopping done in stores you may have never seen before, head to the Deco District's Pop-Up Shopping Event. Alongside Boston Avenue from Fifth and Seventh Streets, you can see 12-15 shops with various themes.

Winterfest: Activities continue outside the BOK Center with an outdoor skating rink and carriage rides. This is the fifth year for the event and will last through Jan. 6 for adults and children interested.

For the Artsy: For the past 32 years, Steve Tomlin has worked as a fine arts contemporary artist and award-winning visual arts educator at Grissom School. And today is the last day you can catch his collection of new works in the Chapman Music Hall at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Spectators can view his works from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Festival of Trees: The Philbrook is continuing their holiday tradition with trees, gingerbread houses and gifts for those on your shopping lists. The event continues through Dec. 5th and is free for Philbrook members and $11 for non-members.
