Small Businesses Have Successful Saturday

Posted: Updated:

Small business Saturday appears to have been a success as consumers shopped
at hundreds of thousands of small businesses nationwide.  Half a million businesses participated in this year's event - displaying their small
business Saturday rugs outside their stores to remind consumers to
participate.

Buying local appears to be a nationwide movement that has grown stronger over the past decade as many shoppers are willing to spend a little bit more to see the money go to their communities.
