Officers are looking for an individual suspected of striking a pedestrian in north Tulsa last week in a pickup truck.

Tulsa Police said around 10:45 p.m. a Ford pickup truck struck a person walking alongside Pine Street near New Haven Avenue. Video footage shows that the vehicle is red or maroon in color and a 1992-1996 Ford Short Wide F150.

Just before the incident, a Tulsa Lift bus driver witnessed the incident and went to aid the pedestrian after the truck drove away. Channel 8's Yvonne Lewis spoke with that bus driver last week.

"The red truck I seen it go over the railroad tracks and hit something and I seen it twist and I was like wow what did it hit cause I didn't want to hit it," Hopkins adds.

She stopped at the railroad tracks and put her hazard lights on and looked down.

"I looked down and I seen a man, I said that's a man. I pulled over and explained to everyone on the bus, I'm sorry I can't take you guys home, there's a guy in the street who just got hit," Hopkins says.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with several critical injuries and now police are on the lookout for the truck, which should have damage to the right front area of the pickup specifically the grill and headlight assembly will be broken, according to the press release.

Video evidence also shows the actual suspect vehicle does have a chrome rear bumper, chrome bed rails and a chrome door mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or text TIP918 to CRIMES (274637).
