TPD Reports Calm Black Friday

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa police officers at both the Tulsa Promenade and Tulsa Hills had a relatively calm Black Friday.

Neither location reported any criminal activity, perhaps a testament to the effectiveness of Operation Safe Shopper, an initiative to boost police presence at area malls. Reserve officers are also used in the program.

Police urge shoppers not to leave recent purchases in their vehicles. they advise making frequent trips back home between destinations, to avoid the potential of a vehicle break-in that could result in the loss of your recent purchases.
