SALINE COUNTY (KATV) - A Saline County deputy is facing two charges after being arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Deputy Paul Babbitt was booked in the Saline County Jail around 3 PM and subsequently released.
Saline County Sheriff Bruce Pennington says the department had been investigating a theft of property crime since early November that led to the deputy's arrest.
Babbitt faces charges of possession of prescription without a prescription and theft of property.
Babbitt was placed on administrative leave and relieved of duty.
