Firefighters Deliver Thanksgiving Feast To Fire Victims & Others

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa firefighters reached out to 45 families, making sure their Thanksgiving dinner is on the table this year.

Wednesday, union members distributed fully prepared meals to families in need.

Union President Chad Miller says, "They are complete meals with turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, rolls, pumpkin pie and some other side dishes."

12 of the meals went to families affected by a Midtown apartment fire last week.

Miller says, "We have made contact with the families that were displaced and located them, as well as the five remaining families in that complex."

The fire union teamed up with Reasor's, local schools and churches to identify the families and make the meals possible.
