
Drivers planning on hitting the road this Thanksgiving weekend may want to look out for road projects impacting their travel.
Here's a list of projects impacting major highways from Wednesday Nov. 21 through Sunday Nov. 25. Oklahoma Department of Transportation offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Tulsa Metro:
I-244/US-169 corridor - I-244 closed at 129th Ave.
Significant delays can be expected in this corridor, especially during peak travel times. Drivers are advised to locate and alternate route.
Various lane closures east and westbound I-244 between the I-44 split to near Memorial Drive.
All lanes of eastbound I-244 are closed between 129th E. Ave. and the I-44 junction. Use southbound US-169 to eastbound I-44 as a detour.

Ramp closures at SW corner of Inner Dispersal Loop
Westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to eastbound I-244/westbound US-64/SH-51 (south to west leg of IDL)

I-244 Ramp to US-75
Closed from northeast corner of Inner Dispersal Loop
Westbound I-244 off-ramp to southbound US-75 (NE corner of IDL) will be closed
Follow north and west legs of IDL for access to southbound US-75 or eastbound US-64/SH-51
Northbound US-75 on-ramp from 2nd Street is also closed.
I-44/Lewis Ave. Corridor Closures
Reduced speed limits on I-44 in the Lewis Avenue corridor
All lanes of north and southbound Lewis Avenue are closed at the I-44 junction
Use Harvard Avenue or Peoria Avenue as detours
Green Country:
Henryetta, Okmulgee and Okfuskee Counties
I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between I-40B in Henryetta and US-75 east of Okemah
Beggs and Okmulgee
US-75 narrowed
Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on southbound US-75 between SH-16 near Beggs and the US-62 junction in Okmulgee
Oklahoma City Metro:
No major road closures expected to impact travel
Work isn't limited to just state highways and interstates. There are several projects ongoing along Oklahoma's Turnpike System
Muskogee Turnpike: Emergency bridge repair at mile marker 30. Traffic is single lane in each direction. Work should be completed in 45 days.
Creek Turnpike: Construction will add lanes in each direction from Memorial to US 75. Traffic will be shifted. Speed limit 55 mph. Completion: August 2013.
Cherokee Turnpike: Cherokee Service Plaza at mm 18 will close December 3rd at 6 a.m. Alternate fuel stops at mm 6.2 and mm 28.5.
Indian Nation Turnpike: Pavement and bridge rehabilitation project. Completion: Summer 2012.
Cimarron Turnpike: Cable barrier installation from mp 40 to 51. Speed limit reduced. Completion scheduled for Winter 2012/2013.
Kilpatrick Turnpike: Construction will add lanes in each direction from MacArthur to Eastern. All lanes shift to right. Speed limit is 55. Completion: May 2013.
Kilpatrick Turnpike: Lake Hefner fly-over bridge ramp to southbound Lake Hefner Parkway is closed for construction. Use Portland Ave. ramp.
HE Bailey Turnpike: Elgin on/off ramp improvements. Work should be completed December 2012.
