Jury convicts Conway man in stabbing

Posted: Updated:

CONWAY (Log Cabin Democrat) - A Faulkner County jury found Jesse Garrett of Conway guilty on two counts of felony terroristic threatening and one count of first degree battery late Friday.

Garrett was sentenced to 42 years in prison, the max sentence carried by the charges stemming from the June 2011 stabbing incident.

According to the Conway Police Department, a 43-year-old man was stabbed multiple times when he answered the door of his home on First Avenue in Conway. Garrett fled the scene before police arrived, but he was located at a nearby residence and arrested.

The victim, who has recovered from his injuries, was able to tell police who his attacker was.
