BISMARCK (KATV) - The five people who died in the car accident on Highway 7 near Bismarck are all from the small town.

The three cars crashed three miles north of the junction with Highway 84 in Bismarck near the Hot Spring County/Garland County line. The Arkansas State Police report says  Brandy Kizziar, 37, Edgar Rocha Martinez, 41, Eva Figueroa Hernandez, 40, Jose Miguel Hernandez, 16, and Chris Anthony Rocha, 2, died Thursday night shortly after 7 PM.

Troopers say Kizziar was driving a 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer north on Highway 7 when she crossed into the southbound lane and hit the 2000 Chevy truck head-on. The truck was carrying Martinez, the Hernandez's, Chris Anthony Rocha, as well as Anna Marie Rocha. Anna Marie Rocha, 5, is the only survivor from the truck. Kizziar was traveling alone.

Then Glenda McLemore, 54, who was driving southbound in a 2012 Chevy Malibu, hit the rear of the truck. McLemore was injured in the accident. Troopers say everyone involved in the accident was wearing a seat belt.

12 miles of the highway were shut down between Bismarck and Lake Hamilton while crews worked to clean up the scene. A viewer told KATV the highway was re-opened around 11:00 PM.

Arkansas State Police and the Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office are still investigating what caused the crash. The state police report lists the weather as clear and the road as dry.

Channel 7's Matt Johnson will have more on this story at 5 and 6 tonight.
