Ark. Tech announces resignation of football coach - KATV - Breaking News, Weather and Razorback Sports

RUSSELLVILLE (AP) - Arkansas Tech University has announced the resignation of football coach Steve Mullins.

The university said Thursday that Mullins is stepping down after 16 years as football coach - but will remain as athletic director of the university in Russellville

Mullins was 96-75 as ATU head coach and led the Wonder Boys to three NCAA Division II playoff appearances. He became athletic director in 2003.

Arkansas Tech finished the current season 5-6 and 3-5 in the Great American Conference.
