Tulsa School Lock down Ends Following Gun Scare

Posted: Updated:

A lock down is over at Tulsa's Owen Elementary School after an incident involving a gun on campus.

A source within the district tells KTUL.com that a green or gray van pulled up to the playground area early Thursday afternoon.

Someone inside that van pointed a gun at students on the playground, and then drove off.

The students were brought back into the building for their safety. There have been no reports of shots fired or injuries so far.

Tulsa Police and campus police searched the area for the suspect vehicle. Owen Elementary houses kids in Pre-Kindergarten up through 6th grade.
