Arkansas Windows and Siding

LITTLE ROCK -

The Better Business Bureau is closed for Veteran's Day.

But based on an email sent to a complainant last week, a Windows and Siding Company filed for bankruptcy.

That business is Arkansas Windows and Siding.

We have helped viewers attempt to resolve disputes with Arkansas Windows and Siding in the past.

But now the Sherwood company's phone numbers have been disconnected.

It appears the business is out of business…and customers are out of luck.

Customers like Debbie Vaughan of Alexander.  Vaughan has 10 dogs and she would love to turn her pack of pound pooches loose on the head honchos at Arkansas Windows and Siding.

Vaughan contracted with the company a year ago and while most of the initial problems with the siding and windows they installed have been addressed, some problems remain and now she is likely on her own to deal with those.

"Well I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and was informed that they had filed Chapter Seven and that they were no longer in business," explained Vaughan.

"Which leaves you…"

"High and dry," retorts Vaughan.  "I don't know what to do about it."

Vaughan spent about $14,000 on a job she is still not entirely satisfied with.

She says the materials will still be under warranty…but if the company is out of business any warranty on the work that was done is now worthless.

"Well I thought I had due diligence," says Vaughan.  "I checked them on the Better Business Bureau.  They didn't have anything but one complaint…which was failure to communicate which I totally understand now."

Debbie says she took four bids and liked the presentation made by Arkansas Windows and Siding the best.

But one thing she failed to do was check references.

Our attempts to contact Randy Fields with Arkansas Windows and Siding have been unsuccessful, and a message for his attorney has not been returned.
