ODOT: L. L. Tisdale Parkway Ramp Closes For Maintenance Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will be closing an eastbound off-ramp to the L. L. Tisdale Parkway Tuesday for maintenance work.

Beginning at 9 a.m., drivers may need to find an alternate route if they planned on taking the eastbound I-244 off-ramp to northbound L. L. Tisdale Parkway this morning or afternoon. The ramp will be closed until 3 p.m.

According to ODOT, crews will be performing maintenance laying new sod down to replace the old that was damaged after an incident with an overturned truck last week.

Channel 8 was at the scene after the semi tanker truck rolled over spilling the oil it was carrying onto the Tisdale Parkway

According to the driver of the truck, he was headed north on the Tisdale expressway, with a load of crude oil, headed to the Port of Catoosa. When he crashed, oil spilled out down the road, nearly 200 feet. Hazmat crews arrived on the scene and dug a trench to hold it.
