
HONOLULU (AP) - Hauns Brereton and Vander Joaquim each scored 15 points to lead Hawaii past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 81-54 on the second day of the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic.
The Rainbow Warriors led 33-27 at halftime of Sunday night's game, but broke the game open with a 19-7 run and led by as many as 30 as they pulled away. Brandon Spearman added 12 points and guard Jace Tavita finished with a game-high 10 assists along with eight points.
Hawaii (2-0) advanced to Monday night's tournament championship game against Houston Baptist.
The Golden Lions (0-2) shot just 18% (7 of 38) in the second half and finished the game shooting just 26%. They were led by guard Lazabian Jackson with 12 points. Davon Haynes added 11 points and Terrell Kennedy scored 10.
