UPDATE: Court docs give insight into sex allegations against fmr Bryant band teacher

Posted: Updated:

BRYANT (KATV) - Channel 7 News has obtained the court documents filed against a former Bryant High School band teacher.

James Chad Green is accused of first degree sexual assault against a student. Court documents show the now 36-year-old is accused by a former student who claims in the summer of 2009, he went to pick up his instrument then Green started having a conversation with him. He claims the conversation led to a sexual encounter.

The student also claims he and Green had several other sexual encounters both in person and exchanges on the internet. Channel 7 News has chosen not to publish specifics surrounding those claims both because of their graphic nature and out of concern for potentially identifying the student in question.

It is important to note a crime lab report showed no evidence was found on Green's computer after it was seized looking for proof of the online interactions the student mentioned.

Court documents show Bryant police were first told about these allegations December 1, 2011. Saline County prosecutors did not charge Green until October 16 and he was not arrested until October 31.
