Salvation Army needs volunteers

Posted: Updated:

The Salvation Army of Conway is looking for volunteers this holiday season.

Activities for volunteers include:

- Bell ringers for the red kettles
- Help with setting up the toy shop and distribution
- Assisting at the Salvation Army Family Store with answering the phones and sorting donations
- Pick up and delivery of contributions

Lt. Jamie Clays says businesses, civic groups, service organizations and high school clubs are effective bell ringers. Kettles can be adopted for a day, a weekend or just a few hours depending on what works with your schedule.

Volunteers are needed throughout the year, but Christmastime is particularly busy. If you're interested in volunteering, call Lts. Russell or Jamie Clay at (501) 329-1712 or the Family Store at (501) 329-3158.

The Salvation Army of Conway serves Faulkner, Cleburne, Perry and Van Buren counties.  Any financial donations the Salvation Army of Conway receives stays in the area served. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 1176, Conway, AR, 72033.
