Controversial Carl Redus Facebook page

Posted: Updated:

PINE BLUFF (KATV) - A Facebook fan page is creating a stir in Pine Bluff.

The page entitled "Redus for Mayor 2012" posted a message on the Pine Bluff Briefing's fan page saying "Sure could use your vote tomorrow. Don't let that white woman take our town back. Be strong my brothers and sisters and lets overcome this test against our spirit and minds. United we stand. Push on upward and onward."

In a phone interview with Channel 7 News, Mayor Carl Redus said his campaign is not behind the fan page that bares his name. He said he does not have any Facebook page, was not even aware of this page's existence before our phone call asking for comment and believes this one was created by an opposing campaign.

The page was first created in 2011.
