FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - University of Arkansas head coach John L. Smith has suspended senior linebacker Terrell Williams following Williams' arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The 21-year-old Williams was arrested by Fayetteville police early Sunday for DWI and driving left of center. He was later released on $910 bail.
A working phone number for Williams could not be located. He is due in court Monday morning.
Williams is a Tulsa, Okla., native who was credited with seven tackles in Arkansas' 19-15 win over Tulsa on Saturday.
He's the seventh member of the football team to have been arrested since March. A former player whose eligibility expired at the end of last season was also arrested during that time.
Smith said in a statement that he's "disappointed" and that Williams is suspended indefinitely.
