Fatal Car Crash Closes Part of Highway 161

(KATV) North Little Rock - Highway 161 from Bethany Road to Emily Street was shut down because of a fatal accident in the Prothro Junction area. It has been reopened.

North Little Rock Police tell Channel Seven the Ford Explorer hit the back of a dump truck. It appears the driver of the SUV didn't attempt to stop before hitting the truck. Officers are still on the scene and haven't finished their investigation but say the driver may have had a medical problem.
