UPDATE: Body of missing Harrison woman found in woods

UPDATE: The Marion County Sheriff's Office is reporting that 87-year-old Jane Jones was found dead near her former residence in the rural Peel area.

Deputies say that Jones' car was found in a wooded area near MC 8123. Her body was discovered approximately 80 yards from the vehicle.

A silver alert was activated after Jones went missing from her home in Harrison on October 24.

Authorities do not expect foul play.


 

An 87-year-old woman is missing in Harrison.

Arkansas State Police have activated a Silver Alert for Jane Jones, who has been missing since around 5 p.m. on October 24.

Jane was last known to be at the 1600 block of Brentwood Drive in Harrison. She may be driving a green 2004 Jeep Liberty with Arkansas licence plate 561 OJW. Jane wears glasses and walks with a cane.

Jane is around 5 feet 4 inches and 125 lbs. She has gray hair and green eyes.
