No. 4 Fayetteville faces rival Springdale Har-Ber - KATV - Breaking News, Weather and Razorback Sports

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Defending Class 7A state champion Fayetteville took some time to get going this season, losing its first two games against difficult out-of-state competition.

The No. 4 Bulldogs (6-2) have won six straight since and will face their most difficult in-state test Friday night when they host rival Springdale Har-Ber. The No. 7 Wildcats (5-3) have won four in a row over Fayetteville, which defeated Bentonville in last season's state championship game behind quarterback Austin Allen.

The Bulldogs have battled injuries this season, but they have won by a combined 70-7 the last two weeks.

Har-Ber's three losses have also come against difficult competition this season, including two in Missouri and a 28-7 setback to No. 1 Bentonville. The Wildcats have the pedigree to dethrone Fayetteville, but the Bulldogs still have Allen.
