Man arrested after string of burglaries in Saline Co.
Saline County Deputies have arrested a man who they believe is responsible for a string of burglaries throughout the county.
18-year-old Christopher Alan Muth was arrested on October 10 after a caller said that he and his wife discovered a man going through drawers in their bedroom while they were asleep. The suspect fled with a black bag after he was confronted by the homeowner.
Deputies found Muth in the area and took him into custody.
Several items taken from the residence were found in the bag, along with a pistol and other items believed to be stolen.
Muth has been charged with residential burglary, 25 counts of breaking and entering, theft of property of a firearm, and 21 counts of theft of property. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
The sheriff's office says that Benton and Bryant police departments are investigating to determine if Muth is involved in any other case. There are more warrants being obtained for additional suspects at this time.
