BENTONVILLE (CNN) - Protesters greeted investors at Walmart's annual shareholder meeting Wednesday.
The demonstrators converged on the giant retailer's Northwest Arkansas headquarters.
Several different groups participated. The United Food and
Commercial Workers union said Walmart employees accuse the company of trying to
"silence and retaliate against workers for speaking out for improvements on the
job."
Non-unionized Walmart workers have reportedly long-complained of low pay and no benefits.
