(KATV) Social Security recipients
will get an increase in their benefits in 2013, but not by much.
The American Institute for
Economic Research estimates recipients can expect a bump of 1.5 to 1.7% in
their benefits. That's less than half of the 3.6% of living increase recipients
received earlier this year when inflation was higher.
The Labor Department will
release its September inflation reading next week.
Those readings are used to
calculate the cost of living adjustment made annually to benefits.
