(CNN) - A fast food industry magazine gives top marks to Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's when it comes to service at the drive-thru.
This week, QSR
released its study of speed and accuracy at the drive-up window for six major
restaurant chains.
Chick-Fil-A led the flock, getting orders right 92
percent of the time, along with top scores for customer service and cleanliness.
But Wendy's was the fastest by far, completing drive-thru orders in an
average of 130 seconds, or about two minutes and ten seconds. That's 20
seconds faster than Taco Bell, which ranked number two for speed.
Burger King had the lowest scores in both accuracy and speed, getting orders right 83 percent of the time and taking more than three-and-a-half minutes on average, according to QSR.
McDonald's and the burger chain Krystal finished in the
middle of the group for most categories.
The study was conducted during June, July and August, at locations in 41 states. Researchers made more than 2,000 visits during the busiest times of day: the lunch and dinner rush, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
