FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Arkansas coach John L. Smith says the team has an opportunity to build on its win over Auburn, though leading tackler Alonzo Highsmith is out for the season with a foot injury.
The Razorbacks (2-4, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) ended a 4-game losing streak with their 24-7 win over the Tigers. It was Arkansas' first win over an FBS opponent this season.
The Razorbacks begin a 2-game stretch this week against opponents who are a combined 4-8 this season. That starts with a visit from Kentucky (1-5, 0-3) this week, followed by Mississippi two weeks later.
Smith says Arkansas will enter the stretch without Highsmith, who was injured against Auburn. The senior leads the Razorbacks with 54 tackles.
